Bodies of Uganda soldiers killed in Somalia arrive in Entebbe

The bodies of four Ugandan Peace-keepers who were killed by Al Shabaab militants in Somalia will arrive in Uganda on September 1st, 2010.

The soldiers were killed in intence fighting between the African Union Peacekeeping Force and the Al Shabaab rebels. The fighting left over 100 people dead and about 200 injured.

The four Ugandan peacekeepers in Somalia were killed on Monday in the Somali capital Mogadishu when the rebels fired mortars at the presidential palace. Over 38 UPDF soldiers have been killed by the Somali rebels since last year.
Uganda deployed her troops in Mogadishu to give protection to the President of Somalia, Sheikh Sharif Ahmed.
