High court sitting in fort portal has sentenced Tomas Nzabadora aged 22 hailing from Kasaba Village in Kyarusozi sub county Kyenjojo district to three and a half years in jail at Katoojo government prison on charges of aggravated defilement.
Court presided over by justice Simon Byabakama Mugenyi heard that the accused Nzabadora raped a 13 -year -old –girl on 8th December 2009 when the minor was from fetching water at a nearby well.
Court heard that Nzabadora waylaid the minor on her way from the well, dragged her in the bush and sexually molested her.
Prosecution told court that the victim made an alarm which attracted Twinaamashiko and Kellen Bagiremana their neighbors and caught the accused red handed in the act.
The matter was reported to Kyenjojo police who arrested him and forwarded him to court.
The victim was taken for medical examination and results indicated that her private parts had been tempered with and ruptured.
Appearing before court the accused pleaded guilty but Justice sentenced him to three and a half years in jail and in addition pay 150.00 shillings fine.
Justice Byabakama warned the sexual rampaging men against defiling young girls that they spoil their future.
