More MPs swear in to the 9th parlaiment

The Swearing in Ceremony for MPS for the 9th Parliament has entered day two and at the closer of the day about 246 MPS have administered oath before the clerk to Parliament Aeneas Tandekwire.

Among the prominent MPS who were sworn in today was Ruhama County MP also First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni took the oath to defend and protect the Constitution of Uganda  Mrs. Museveni, the Ruhama County MP in Ntungamo district was accompanied by her husband. Yoweri Museveni Kaguta

Out Spoken MP for Rubaga South John Ken Lukyamuzi the Man was among the other Members who took Oath today to uphold and protect the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda.

Others who took oath include otafire who pointed out the challenge of poverty as something that needs immediate intervention. He however says that it’s the process.

He however said that he doesn’t care being appointed as a minister or not. He says that if he is appointed he will work and if not he will not mind because he was elected as an MP not as a minister.

Lwemiyaga county mp Theodore Sekikubo however says that his emphasis will be advocating for people’s right and continue fighting corruption. He also pledged to fight for institutional building.

Kyadondo north mp Robert kasule called upon Ugandans to get united in order to tackle the current inflation challenges.
