Al-Shabab terrorists reported to be in Uganda planning attack

Ugandans have been warned that the Al-shabab  terrorists have already  entered  Uganda with hatched plans to attack and kill people.

This was disclosed by the  police Director in charge of counter terrorism Byakagaba Abasi in a press statement he released .

He said that police have information to the effect that the Al-Shabab have hatched more plans to attack Uganda  and possibly, some of them are already within the country and others want to infiltrate into the country for purposes of carrying out a terrorist attack in this country.

He asked the  people who are involved in organizing events that events are one area which  attract the terrorist because in many cases when they are not secured, they become soft targets  and he cited the upcoming events like the European Football Cup final , Martyrs Day, Hero’s Day ,the Cranes match against Guinea Bissau and Ekitobero event of Radio CBS.

He also urged  people to take good care of fuel stations within the city and also not to allow people to park within these fuel stations and added that should allow only those vehicles which have a purpose like fueling, servicing, and related issues but not just parking there as police try to ensure that there is tight security against terrorists.

He further warned the opposition not to think that this alert is to scare them, saying that  there  threats on this country that Al-Shabab is having plans of attacking some of  political leaders so that they cause some effect in as far as terrorism is concerned.
