Community Development Officers want to be involved in oil sector

Community development officers in Uganda have been argued to move to the field and educate the population on their roles and responsibility.

The commission for community development Osinde Wori says the population lacks access to government information and luckily do they get from the media.

Osinde Wori told the meeting of all stakeholders in Hoima and Fort portal and mandate enabling them to reach out the population. Osinde warned them that despite holding Uganda’s features many people seem not to understand the progress of the Oil sector.

He therefore argued the government department and ministries to integrate community officers to get involved in the mobilization activities.
