MTN is demanding 20 billion shillings from UTL that arose from the interconnections between 2008 and 2010.

The court had directed UTL to pay the money but the debtors have delayed to pay prompting the regulatory body to intervene.

The Uganda Communications Commission Executive Director, Godfrey Mutabazi says that the war between the two companies is affecting the business of their customers.

Mutabazi adds that the Uganda Communications Commission is working out modalities to ensure related wars between the telecommunication companies do not arise again.

But UTL has hitherto insisted they do not owe MTN any money and that the disputed money has not yet been determined by Court
