Ugandan traders urged to take advantage southern Sudan market

The first deputy Prime Minister Eria Kategaya has said government is welcomes the new creation of new Sudan because of its economic potential.

Eria Kategaya who is also minister for East African affairs adds that Uganda and southern Sudan have a lot in common and can learn from each other.

Speaking to the journalists in Kampala in the preparation for the launching of new Sudan due next weekend, Kategaya argued Ugandan traders to take advantage for the new market and improve their economic status.

Kategaya further stated that Sudan is a strategic security point for Uganda adding that Joseph Kony will now have no safe heaven.

He said Uganda is ready to full cooperate with her new neighbors in Sudan.

In a related development the new Sudan people have plans to join the east African community as soon as they become independent.

Confirming the request the minister for east African affairs Eria Kategaya said this was good news saying the new Sudan will boost the market.
