Former Agriculture minister in NRM regime, Mr. Kisamba Mugerwa has shocked NRM supporters in Luweero when he said yesterday that he was still a member of the Democratic Party despite the fact that he is in NRM.

Attending a burial ceremony in Zirobwe Sub County in Luweero district, Kisamba who is also the former MP for Bamunanika on NRM ticket said that he has a life membership card of the DP and so he remains a DP cadre though he is in NRM.

Kisamba told the shocked mourners that whoever says that he is in NRM should tell when he handed over the DP card back to DP leaders.

This controversial statement has come at a time when many NRM cadres like MPs Theodore Sekikubo (Lwemiyaga), Muhammad Nsereko (Kampala central) among others.

This means that NRM has to tame its cadres because it seems many of them are in the party they don’t believe in.
