It looks like it is now illegal in Uganda to fall in love with a woman who is not a virgin. Many men in different parts of the country have been killed in the recent past for being found in love with women who has had lovers before.
One man falls in love with a very beautiful woman and then suddenly a man appears claiming that she was her wife. Even to an extent where a woman denies being ever been in love with someone, a man appears and claims that so and so ‘is my wife because I paid her from her parents or she was my girlfriend before.’
For example a man was yesterday accused of dating women in Uganda and was lynched by his neighbours.
Joseph Kigongo, 37, was a resident of Buwunga LC1 village located in Buwunga Sub County in Masaka district in central Uganda (Buganda kingdom). The residents beat him to death and burnt his body reportedly under the watchful eyes of some local leaders and elders.
