Al Qaida fighters kill Ugandans in Afghanistan

We have been told that two Ugandans providing security services in Afghanistan have been shot dead by suspected Al Qaida terrorists in revenge for Uganda’s military engagement in Somalia.

A source in Uganda government that declined to speak on record for fear of being questioned by president Museveni’s government told our informers that the dead Ugandans were Simon Muhwezi and Allan Gumingiriza. Many Ugandans, especially those in western Uganda are in Afghanistan working as security guards.

The same source told us that the dead Ugandans were taken to Afghanistan by Reliant Camp Security Company based in Afghanistan. The bodies of the deceased are yet to return to Uganda. Efforts to have a comment from army spokesman, Felix Kulayigye or the government minister for information Mary Okrut were futile by press time.
