Many sections of Ugandans are asking why does the Forum for Democratic Change and its president Col. Kiiza Besigye have a soft spot when it comes to some individuals and make a lot of noise when it is others.

Some Ugandans, including some members of FDC have been overheard in different forums as asking Besigye and his party to resign the culture of regarding some politicians who betray the opposition struggle as saints and others as demons.

The critics say that some opposition leaders in FDC can even eat rubbish and the FDC leaders Nandala Mafabi, Salaamu Musumba etc orders people to salute them. Double standards: When DP’s Fred Mukasa Mbidde preferred personal interests to national issues during the EALA elections, many FDC leaders led by Mafibi and Musumba ‘shouted’ and nearly staged a demonstration.

But now FDC’s Anne Mugisha betrayed the opposition, the same FDC leaders consider her as “untouchable.”  Anne Mugisha succumbed to materials gains but FDC leaders are defending her!

When former Kampala Mayor Hajji Nasser Ssebagala switched to NRM, the same FDC leaders failed to babysit his actions as they have done to Anne Mugisha.

So we think our political leaders irrespective of their age, education and experience or influence need to start treating opposition members alike if they are to ‘liberate’ Uganda at a certain time ‘T’ which is yet to be described in Uganda’s history.
