The ministry of education has been advised to carry out a complete restructuring of Kyambogo University if its current problems are to be solved.

The advise was given by the Gulu University deputy vice chancellor in charge of academic affairs Prof Callistus Balidawa during an interaction with the education committee of parliament.

Prof Balidawa says the problems of Kyambogo stem from the merger done by government of the three institutions.

He says calls for resignation of the VC or all other staff may not be of great help.

The committee was meeting administrators from Makerere , Gulu and Busitema University on university governance issues and how the problems of Kyambogo can be addressed.
