According to a source from the ministry has revealed that only about 1000 companies have been registered during the two week exercise.

He says that although the ministry does not have data pertaining to the actual numbers but they believe that it’s bigger than that.
The ministry is now appealing to those left out to comply because the exercise is intended to create trade order and help create a data base but not to punish anybody.
He also emphasizes that nobody will be deported as has been alleged.
The ministry embarked on registration of foreign petty traders’ exercise last December following complaints from local traders over the influx of foreigners doing petty businesses, which is contrary to trade laws.
