Moscow Police following up Ugandan drug transporters

Moscow police have started following up a group of Ugandans who have made it a habit of transporting harmful drugs from one country to another including Russia, China and India.

The Russian police are following up these groups of Ugandans in conjunction with Interpol. The group Interpol and Moscow police are trucking is headed by one Sarah Namukwaya. A source at Interpol in Kampala told us that Namukwaya is a Ugandan national of Rwandan origin. She is also believed to be in possession of Rwandan, Ugandan and Burundian passports.

Namukwaya’s group which is still at large reportedly works with Nigerian students in the transportation of marijuana and other dangerous drugs from one location to another.

A number of Ugandans have been arrested in the recent past in different countries such as China, England and India over dealing in transportation of banned drugs. Sources among drug dealers told us that they use items like furniture, clothes, drugs, dead bodies and coffins to transport marijuana from one destination to another. Many drug dealers camouflage as tourists, businesspersons, professionals and students. Exportation and importation of illegal drugs is still a challenge to many countries around the world.
