WORLD BANK BOSS CALLS FOR EDUCATION QUALITY IMPROVEMENT

 

The world bank country director in Uganda Phillipe Dongier ias calling for a massive quality improvement in Uganda’s education quality right from lower levels if higher teaching institutions are to produce quality graduates for the job market.

 

Phillipe who was officiating at the 3rd Uganda vice chancellors forum in Kampala today criticized the education system used in Uganda saying has failed to produce better quality students to help develop the nation and its on this point that he challenges govt to critically address the challenges facing the sector for a brighter future.

 

However, the chairman of the forum, Prof. Badru Katerega urges Ugandan universities to consider acquiring international certificates to help in positioning themselves at international level standards.
