Muslims attack examination centre over idd celebrations

Leaders of Muslim communities in the Republic of Uganda have attacked Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) for disrespecting Islamic holy holidays.

The spokesperson of the Muslim administration, Sheikh Hassan Kirya told the press in Kampala that UNEB is always insensitive to Muslim issues. The Muslim leaders expressed dismay at Uneb for always conducting national exams on Idd-ul-Adhuha holidays.

As other people around the world will be celebrating Idd-ul-Adhuha next Tuesday, thousands of Muslim students in Uganda will be writing their Chemistry Paper. The chairperson of UNEB, who is also a Muslim, Fagil Mandy told the media in Uganda that Muslim students will celebrate Idd when doing their examinations.
