uganda government urged to address young people’s reproductive health.

As Uganda strives to attain the Millennium development goal 4 and 5 members of parliament saythe government should find ways of addressing young people’s sexualand reproduction health needs.
The call was made mps under the umbrella body network of African
ministers and parliamentarians a head of the safe motherhood day
celebrations tomorrow.
The chairperson of the network Sylvia Namabidde said that Uganda’s
largest population is the youth but it’s unfortunate that only 11%
have access to reproductive health services.
She says that the failure to access the services has led to many
teenage pregnancies which has left many young girls at risk of various
complications.

The MDG 4 and 5 include reducing child mortality and improving maternal health.
Tomorrows celebrations will be held under the theme teenage
pregnancy-an obstacle to safe motherhood: let us stop it now
