The opposition mps have resolved to use both political and legal means to challenge Justice Catherine Bamugemeirwe report that found Lukwago guilty of abuse of office, incompetence and misconduct.
In a press conference held at parliament by mps Abdul katuntu, Odonga Otto, Betty Nambooze Bakireke Matia Nsubuga, Medard Segona, Moses Kasibate,Wafula Ogutu,Nsereko Mohammed , and Nabukenya Brenda said that they will not allow the tribunal to deny the people of Kampala their constitutional right to determine their leadership.
The mps who first held a closed meeting with Kampala Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago at parliament resolved to appeal against the report and to also call a mass rally next Monday where they will inform the people of Kampala about the action.
Mukono municipality mps Betty Nambooze says they will take on a number of political activities in protest of the move to remove the lord mayor from his office.
