Reign of terror in Kampala: Police brutally arrests Besigye

It now seems Uganda is under the reign of terror. If police don’t kill people who are demanding for their rights, it arrests, beats, detains or teargases them

The same police went ahead today to arrest former Presidential Candidate Dr Kizza Besigye. Besigye was towed in his Car to Central Police Station (CPS) in Kampala where he was stopped from making phone calls or talking to anybody outside the police cell.

Teargas covered Ben Kiwanuka   Street in Kampala as the Uganda Police fought civilians who were resisting Police brutality against Dr Kizza Besigye and other opposition politicians.

His arrest was triggered by Besigye’s passing through the central Kampala business area while going to work.
