Walter lubega attacks kadaga of refusing his petition.

former Presidential candidate Sam Walter Lubega and his group called National Alliance for Change (NAC) have castigated the speaker Rebecca Kadaga accusing her of snubbing their request for an appointment with her to hand in their petition on political reforms.
According to Lubega, since December last year, the group has tried to reach out to the authorities in parliament for an appointment but no response to them has been given.
Addressing the media in Kampala, Lubega says his petition seeks to amend the constitution to among other things scrap electoral colleges for electing youth/worker/army MPs, restore presidential term limits, make electoral reforms and above all put term limits on MPs’ stay in parliament to only two terms [10years).
He adds that his same group has petitioned the East African Court of Justice accusing president Museveni of failure to appoint enough judges to handle cases in high court and supreme court which he says has led to delays in delivery of justice to people, numerous remands, overloading judges among others.
Lubega says the group wants the court to rule on this matter basing on the EAC charter so that the Ugandan leaders respect people’s rights.
