selection for senior one kicks off

The selection exercise for senior one has started today with the cut off points still the same just like last year’s point with the main driver being poor performance with most traditional schools taking girls on 8 point and boys on 7 points.

Speaking at the opening of the exercise, the permanent secretary ministry of education and sports Dr. Rose Nasali Lukwago cautions school heads to always promote discipline and also eliminate exam malpractices as way to improving the education standards in the country.

Meanwhile, the chairman selection committee, Commissioner Omagor Loican Martin urges heads of schools to follow the guidelines as they are stipulated but notes that fast priority should be accorded to the special groups.

Speaking to the school heads and representatives from a few schools like, Gayaza high school, Mengo sss, Gombe sss among others they emphasize that the poor performance has seen the cut off points remains static like those for last year
