farmers urged to use farming technologies

Farmers have been advised to adopt to new farming technologies if they are to mitigate the ongoing weather changes.
The member of parliament for Kalungu East Vincent made the advice while speaking to journalists on the current weather changes in the country at parliament.
Sempijja says that farmers should use the current conditions as an eye open and look for ways of reserving water and then carrying out irrigation.
He however cautioned farmers against waiting for government to put in place water reservoirs so that their not frustrated when rain delay.

In central Uganda Kalungu district is always most hit with water shortage due to dry spell.
The most affected area is Lwabenge sub-county where residents fetch water from Katonga swamp.
