disability movement demand for sports budget.

Persons with disability under the Uganda Paralympic committee which advocate for sports for the disabled persons have petitioned parliament demanding for a special budget to the Uganda Paralympic committee to ensure that sports persons with disability engage in sports without any limitation.
The petition was handed over to the deputy speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah by the chairperson of the Uganda Paralympic committee Bumali Mpindi at parliament.
The disability movement wandered how the government fails to budget disability sports yet the Equal opportunity ACT provides for the government to help disabled persons participate in sports for their well being.
He said that the national council of sports should include persons with disability in its programmes and budget for the to avoid dis abled persons being spectators whenever there is sports activities.
Mpindi said that the national physical education and sports policy does not reorganize disabled children and the able children are called for physical education disabled children remain in class and other looking at their fellow students making physicals for their bodies.

The deputy speaker Jacob Oulanyah said that he will advocate for their sports cause and called for audit of the laws related to disabled persons to assess their impact in persons living with disability in Uganda.
