Sweden hails Uganda for its rapid economic growth

 

The Swedish finance minister, Anders Borg who was accompanied by the Swedish Ambassador to Uganda, Urban Andersson and other Swedish government officials have hailed Uganda for its rapid economic growth and stability adding that the relationship between Uganda and Sweden is excellent.

 

The Swedish minister for finance, Anders Borg visited Uganda this week on the invitation of president Museveni and Prime Minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi.

 

Anders Borg applauded the process of the East African integration Uganda is spearheading which has eased doing business within the region.

 

Borg adds that measures such as reducing on the number of days it takes for goods to move from Mombasa to Kampala from 18 days to four  days is a great achievement.

The cooperation between Sweden and Uganda is in Democratic Governance, health, support to the Private sector, security, defence, research and education.
