Uganda has improved on the national power grid from 60MW in 1986 to 850MW by constructing more power dams and rehabilitating the old ones. The more power generation is expected to promote industrialization in Uganda.

President Museveni says Uganda is determined to market its image, culture and development in all possible spheres.

Museveni says many leaders in Uganda have a special relationship with Sweden because Sweden hosted Uganda rebels during the liberation struggle of NRA that brought president Museveni and his government to power. Museveni also reportedly owns a number of buildings in Sweden.
