Gang raped victim reunited with her family

The Sexual and gender based Violence survivor who was allegedly sodomised and Gang raped by some four Pakistanis working with YUASA motors Nakawa has today been resettled and reunited with her family.

This girls case was first reported in the media in October last year on 9th and later the girl was handed over to Action Aid Uganda for treatment.

The lady is now well according to medical reports both physically and psychological.

She has now been handed over to her parents at Action Aid Uganda offices in Kampala.

According to action Aid acting country director Nixon Ogwal, the girl is now well.

Ogwal adds that though she has been reintegrated to the family, action aid will still extend support to help her start up an income generating activity for survival.

On her behalf, the girl has expressed happiness and commended those who have helped her heal.
