The Committee of Parliament on Education Affairs is to meet the Minister of Education and Sports to pave way of improving the quality of Education in the Country.

According to the Committee Chairperson Sylvia Namabidde says the delays in implementing most of the recommendations has affected the quality of Education which she said the Ministry must give guidance to that effect.

She said Education Service Commission is mandated by the Constitution to address cases of indiscipline within the sector especially when vacancies are created and no follow up is done.

She noted that rightful procedures must be followed as well to revisit the Education Service Act which she must be amended to empower them fully.
