mps demand Kibwetere massacre report

Lawmakers on the Defence and internal affairs committee of parliament have summoned the inspector general of police General kale kaihura to appear on Wednesday this week and explain the police brutality on opposition.

The MPs say that the police officers have been harassing the opposition members where ever they move to explain the electoral reforms to the public and closing down Radio stations up country which hosts the opposition.

The committee chaired by Mubende woman Mp Benny Namugwanya has also accused the general for disrespecting them.

Kaihura was supposed to appear today before this committee to explain the police investigations into the kibwetere massacre but did not turn, he instead told the chairperson who called him that he un able to appear and he will communicate a later date.
Namugwanya says they are sending a letter to warn him over his behaviors.

Mps on the committee Muwanga kivumbi and ssemujju Nganda says that this is not the first time general kaihura fails to appear before the committee and does not communicate them
