A serious fight has erupted in Uganda amongst Muslims over ownership of land in NtuusiSubCounty, Sembabule district. The Muslims royal to the Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Mubajje are fighting against their counterparts of Kibuli based faction.

The land currently occupied by Christian families, was given to Muslims by former president of Uganda, Iddi Amin Dada in 1972. Amin reportedly grabbed this land from Christian families who later reoccupied it and started using it for cattle and pig keeping.

The supporters of Sheikh Mubajje say that they are the legal custodians of the land, while the breakaway Muslim faction claims that they have the land tittle for the land in question.
