Sultan Qaboos receives credentials of Ugandan ambassador

 

His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has received separately at his Hisn al Shumoukh palace in the Wilayat of Manah credentials of a number of ambassadors of friendly countries like Uganda accredited to the Sultanate.

Sultan Qaboos received the credentials of the Ioannis Christoviles, extraordinary, plenipotentiary and non-resident ambassador of President Karolos Papoulias of the Republic of Greece to the Sultanate. Dr Rashid Yahya Ssemuddu, extraordinary, plenipotentiary and non-resident ambassador of President Yoweri Museveni of the Republic of Uganda to the Sultanate.

Others are Antonio da Costa Fernandes, extraordinary, plenipotentiary and non-resident ambassador of President José Eduardo dos Santos of the Republic of Angola to the Sultanate. Rasim Shamsuddin, extraordinary, plenipotentiary and non-resident ambassador of President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Sultanate.

Dr Carlos Mora, extraordinary, plenipotentiary and non-resident ambassador of President Jose Mujica of the Republic of Eastern Uruguay to the Sultanate. During the side meetings with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassadors conveyed greetings of the leaders of their countries along with their best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty. They expressed their great honour and utmost happiness to present their credentials before His Majesty.

His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors and thanked the leaders of their countries for their greetings and best wishes.
His Majesty affirmed to the ambassadors that they would receive all support from His Majesty, the Government and the Omani people to enable them carrying out their duties. The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, the Head of the Royal Protocols, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) and the Military Aides of His Majesty the Sultan.
