Rotarians display enthusiasm in East Africa

 

Rotarians in East Africa have been praised for their display of enthusiasm while serving different communities in a poverty striken country Uganda.

The Speaker of Uganda Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has expressed her appreciation at the role played by Rotarians in uplifting the lives of the most vulnerable people in Africa especially Uganda.

Kadaga was speaking at the Rotary District 9211 89th International Conference and Assembly at the Commonwealth Resort in Munyonyo Kampala.

Kadaga also challenged leaders at all levels to reach out to communities, understand and solve their respective problems.

The speaker said as an example that Uganda government has been buying ambulances for roads but none for water. The told Rotarians that islanders need ambulances to transport the sick across the lakes and rivers. Ends
