mps call for security alert over terror

The chairperson of defense and internal affairs committee of
parliament also Mubende woman MP Benny Namugwanya has asked the
ministries of defense and that of internal affairs to work together
and adopt tight security measures in the country so as to prevent
possible attacks by the terrorists.

The MP’s appeal comes after today’s media reports that terrorists were
now targeting passengers in traffic jams.

Namugwanya says the security organs should consider 24 hour
surveillance for those traffic points to avoid Ugandans follow victims
of the blasts.

The warning by the terrorists comes less than two weeks to martyrs day
cerebrations that are usually commemorated in Uganda every 3rd of
June.

Namugwanya says the Namugongo shrines need to be secured before
pilgrims converge for prayers since this would be a good spot for
the terrorists
