Kigulu south MP Milton Muwuma has appealed to the public to participate fully in the upcoming population census due next month.
According to him, there are reports that some cults are misleading people into boycott of this exercise claiming that the bible already counted people.
Addressing the press at parliament, Muwuma urged government to deal with all those cults that are propagating those false prophesies and explanations to the public.
He says the census is important because it will help government plan well for its people and also budget for them properly so that they can get services.
The Uganda National Population and Housing Census is scheduled for August 28th to September 6th 2014 after years of uncertainty and Government has approved close to 40billion shillings for the exercise.
