New rebel group claims responsibility of armed attacks on civilians in western Uganda

 

 

The news coming in indicates that a Group of people fighting in the Rwenzori sub region in Western Uganda has accused the government of misleading the people of Uganda on their actual cause of fighting.

The Group says it is fighting a full scale war against the Kampala regime and has released the following numbers from recent fightings and or military attacks.

The group claims that during its first attack on Mubende police barracks, 9 policemen were killed and 42 guns were captured. But there was no casuality reported.

During their attacks on Bundibujo army barracks, they claim that 214 guns, 17 Machines and ammunition were taken, 192 soldiers were killed, and attackers suffered 3 casualities. They say that at Ntoroko 4 Soldiers were killed, and they captured several guns.

During their attack at Kaso and weighbridge a total of 24 guns were taken and three UPDF soldiers were killed.

The group is challenging president Museveni to tell Ugandans the truth that the attacks in Kasese are not in any way connected to enthinic groupings in the area.
