Lawyers: Sekandi to be fined Uganda shillings 120,000,000 over office abuse

After spending 3 days of intensive prayer at Ngombya’s Grave over delayed delivery of judgement in Edward Ssekandi’s court case seeking his removal from parliament ended, Jude Mbabaali rushed to the Constitutional court to join his learned colleagues, Justice Kanyeihamba and Orono to receive yet another rushed Judgment in case against the reappointment of Benjamin Odoki as Chief Justice.

The Odoki case was filed much-much later than Mbabaali’s case against Vice President of Uganda Kiwanuka Edward Ssekandi. Mbabaali tells journalists that the said case is being delayed because it has the following grave effects on Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi’s political carrier if he loses it.

Mbabaali says Sekandi ceases to be a Member of Parliament and a fresh election has to be held in Bukoto Central if he loses the case. The said Ssekandi will not be able to contest for any elective office, parliamentary seat inclusive until 7 years have elapsed.

The said Ssekandi has to refund government fuel worth Uganda shillings 120,000,000/- which he reportedly admitted on oath during the hearing that he illegally used during his 2011 parliamentary campaigns.

But the critics of Mbabaali ask: “after three days of intensive prayer at a grave, when shall they see Sekandi being removed from parliament?”
