How to treat sex addiction

Medical experts across the world agree that sex addiction should not only be treated as any other addiction, but also be looked at as a cry for help.

Talk to someone: Ugandans need to get into the habit of talking to psychologists, councilors and other people who can help.

Support: This goes to families which usually make the person feel worse than they already felt. Without family support, the situation usually gets out of hand and the person could go as far as dying from this. Stay away from temptation. This is especially in the beginnings where one could easily dive back into the situation they are trying to fight. Until you feel like you are in full control of your sexuality, keep off sex for a while or places that goes with sex, like strip clubs.

Don’t drink alcohol while fighting any sort of addiction because it impairs any sane judgements one may have at that point. Finally, self-discipline should be instilled, don’t go back to the very thing that you glued. Purpose yourself to fight.
