Bat valley PS safe from land grabbers – Dr Owek

The chairman board of trustees of Bat valley primary school Dr Owek Rajni Tailor has confirmed to the parliamentary select committee investigating the takeover of public land in Kampala that the school land is not under threat by land grabbers.

Owek Tailor told MPs that there is no evidence that anybody wants to grab the school land adding that the land is 100% protected and the School is under refurbishment at a cost of 2 million dollars. He also dismissed media reports that the management is in process of demolishing the school in favour of other businesses.

He said that such reports are unfounded and fuelled by some politicians with the intentions of jeopardizing the investment and refurbishments at the school.

Owek Tailor expressed the fear that donors might pull out their 2Million dollars project of refurbishing the school on allegations that the school land is under threats.
