Butambala district woman Member of Parliament Mariam Nalubega says that there can never be democracy if there is sole candidature in any party. This after NRM party officially endorsed President Yoweri Museveni as sole candidate to contest with other political party candidates for 2016 elections.

Nalubega says that the ruling party has not exhibited an example as we approach the general elections. She also noted that President Museveni can win a big  margin even if he does not put in place a huge budget for his election.

Bunghokho South MP in Mbale District Yahaya Gudoi says that selection of the President as sole candidate from NRM party was based on majority support that the President has in the country

The vice chairman NRM caucus Patrick Ogwang agreed with Gudoi and said that President Yoweri Museveni will win the next election with a bigger margin. He added that no one blocked anybody to contest president Museveni because it required only 10 million shillings to stand against him.
