Police bursts racket making counterfeit currency from Kenya

The Uganda Police working with its counterparts in Kenya are on a hunt for a racket of criminals who are believed to be printing Ugandan currencies in Kenya.

The move followed the Police busting a racket and arresting four Kenyan nationals who had printed 48 million fake shillings ready to be sent to Uganda.

Speaking to KFM, the Police Spokesperson, Andrew Felix Kawesi said that currently they are tracking criminals in Uganda who were meant to receive that consignment.

Kaweesi said that they have got other intelligence information indicating that the same practice is going on in countries like South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
