The Spanish national team will travel to Russia with the objective of returning with the trophy, but Spain's footballing success has already been highlighted by the number of World Cup representatives from LaLiga.

The Spanish national team will travel to Russia with the objective of returning with the trophy, but Spain’s footballing success has already been highlighted by the number of World Cup representatives from LaLiga.

Stars in some of the favourites to lift the trophy, LaLiga will boast so many players in Russia that two teams of players could be picked, without even including any Spaniards.

Stars of the ‘top five’

The quality of the players travelling from Spain is also clear given that all of the five favourites; Brazil, Germany, Spain, France and Argentina, have players from the Spanish top-flight.

Brazil wouldn’t be the same without Philippe Coutinho’s magic and Casemiro’s hard work, whilst the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann could be the stars and other nations rely on the likes of Toni Kroos to do the work to make them champions.
