Jose Gimenez scores last-gasp winner for Oscar Tabarez‘s side after Luis Suarez suffers horror display in World Cup clash. Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah started on the bench with Egypt not looking to rush him back from injury.

Luis Suarez missed a golden chance to put Uruguay ahead after hitting the side-netting from a few yards out. Just moments in the second half, Egypt No 1 Mohamed Elshenawy saved brilliantly to deny Suarez again.

Suarez then spurned another chance as he tried to dribble the ball past the keeper before running out of play. However, in the 89th minute, Jose Gimenez popped up with an emphatic winning header for Uruguay.
