Kibaale district’s Nabanja goes unopposed

The woman member of parliament for Kibaale district Robinah Nabanja has become unopposed in the coming 2016  parliamentary polls for the district following her opponent withdrawing from the race.

Easter Turyasingula withdraws  from the race after the NRM party secretary general Justine Kasule Lumumba pleaded to her to go out of the race for the party unity. The Electoral commission presiding officer in Kibaale district  Eric Gimei confirmed Easter Turyasingula’s withdrawal from the race.
Nabanja joins other NRM candidates for parliamentary seats who went through unopposed and these include Thomas Tayebwa for Ruhinda North , Barnabus Tinkasiimire for Buyaga west, Stella Namoe Nyomere for Napak district, Ms. Hellen Asamo for persons with disabilities, among others.
