The newly appointed minister for transport and works Abraham Bwandaala James has pledged to work hard in maintaining the road sector and uplifting the road network in the country to higher standards.
Byandaala was recently appointed by the president Yoweri Museveni Kaguta to replace John Nasasira as the minister for roads and transport.
The ministry has been criticized for failing to maintain the standard of the road sector in the country, with pot holes being cited on most roads in Uganda.
Byandaala has promised that he will make sure he probes for enough monies that will be invested in the road sector to benefit Ugandans.
He says he is still waiting for the hand over report to enable him identifies loopholes within the ministry and find where to can begin from.
