Kampala capital city Authority has confirmed registration of 14103 motorcycles in kampala in a plan to manage bobda boda cyclists in tax collection and crime prevention in the city.
This has been revealed by the Authority spokes person eter Kawuju in the ongoing exercise for the motor cycle registration in kampala.
He said that over 8000 commercial motorcycles already registered and close to 6000 motorcycles of individuals and organizations their registration finished although there was stiff resistance at the start of this exercise.
He said that no motor cycle will be allowed to operate in the city if its not registered .
The closing deadline for registration of motorcycles is on 31ST October this year.
