Energy minister explains power blackout

The Minister of Energy Irene Muloni has explained on the continued power blackout in Kampala saying that this is caused by the works going on to sustain the high demand of power by the public in Kampala.

Muloni says the distributors are over whelmed by the big number of people who want to be connected to power and thus had to review its services by installing the big cables and wires that can sustainably serve this demand.

She says this is a temporally interruption in different parts of Kampala hence appealing to the public to bear with the situation for the better service thereafter.

She further explains that Government is looking into the complaints against UMEME and that all the challenges surrounding it will be addressed and it smoothly continues with its work
