Mp attacks minister of finance for blocking his bill

Workers Representative in Parliament Stephen Alinaitwe Rwakajara is blaming the Minister of Finance of blocking his efforts to present a Private members Bill on Minimum Wage for Workers in Uganda.
Addressing the Press at Parliament Rwakajara said he sought permission from Parliament to process the Bill but said it’s unfortunate the Ministry of Finance has not provided a certificate of financial implication for the Bill to be tabled on the floor of Parliament for the first reading.

In a related development Rwakajara has threatened to move a censure motion against the Two Ministers of Public Service Astone Kajara and Senzi Mbaguta respectively for failure to clean up Government Payroll for workers.
He said most workers have been deleted and others have not been entered yet they have been given appointment letters.

It is said that more than 30,000 Government Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Institutions teachers are in inconsolable mood following their deletion from the payroll, which has subsequently seen them not get their salaries to date.
