mp attribute poor students perfor low pay to teachers

Lawmakers on the education committee of parliament have attributed the failure rate by students to poor remuneration of teachers that has demoralized them.

MPS Gertrude Nakabira Lwengo woman mp and Lucy Ajoko Apachi woman mp say that teachers need to be motivated by improving their remuneration and welfare so that their committed to work.

A total of 13, 353 failed exams totally and could not be graded. UNEB Secretary Mathew Bukenya attributed the high failure rate to poor interpretation of exams and limited knowledge of English.

Failure of science subjects has been blamed on lack of practice, with poor analysis and lack of knowledge on the use of apparatus.
