Lord mayor may leave politics for good

Kampala central mayor, Godfrey Nyakana has revealed that he will not be contesting for any political post in Kampala again following the mismanagement of leadership in Kampala by KCCA technical structure.

In an interview with Nyakana, among the reasons why he is quitting politics and pave way for other young blood is disempowerment of the political wing at KCCA and vetting too much power in the technical wing led by Jennifer Musisi.

Nyakana now confirms to us that he is now going to do personal business after leaving politics.

He also advises KCCA councilors to give up on their hunt for power since they are the ones who sold that power to Jennifer Musisi. This follows yesterday’s petition presented by Bernard Luyiga to the leader of opposition seeking for redress
