The minister for presidency Frank Tumwebaze has appealed to NRM supporters not to be diverted by ongoing attempts by a group of people to disorganize the party.

The minister says though some group went to East African Court of justice challenging the sole candidature for president Museveni, these are being used by some individuals whom he described as desperate.

He told us that whereas the petitioners went to court challenging the sole candidature, this was merely an expression by NRM MPs and therefore no one can go to court to stop them from expressing their opinion.

Tumwebaze says as a party, it is still strong and ready to host its delegates’ conference as planned despite attempts by some individuals to confuse the public.

He says those who went to court are according to him wasting time because NRM hasn’t stopped anyone from standing.
