Opposition weigh’s in on Bukenya’s U-turn

Some of the Opposition Members of parliament say that the former Vice President Gilbert Bukenya’s U-turn to NRM is just going to cause more confusion and promote indiscipline in the NRM Party. Mukono Municipality MP Betty Namboze Bakirekke  says this will encourage more NRM members to denounce the party and later return. Nambooze asked Prof. Bukenya to apologize to the NRM over the bad words has been uttering.

Western Youth MP Gerald Karuhanga says Prof. Bukenya’s u-turn has showed a very bad example to the younger people, and added that God should forgive him for being inconsistence and for lack of focus.

Kiboga East MP James Kabajjo Kiwalabye says Prof. Bukenya should go back on media and apologize to the NRM supporters for all the unkind words he spit against the NRM party when he was still taking a shelter in the opposition.

Prof Bukenya pledged to support President Yoweri Museveni in the 2016 general elections there is no other candidate with the qualifications to run this country other than the incumbent president. He made the u-turn declaration while addressing the media on Friday 9th October at his home in Kakiri, Wakiso district.
